The Symposia Series brings together architects, artists, scientists, and peacebuilders to explore how culture and design can contribute to dialogue and coexistence. Each symposium is framed around a pressing global theme and developed in partnership with leading institutions and humanitarian networks, including Norad, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Nobel Peace Center. The first in the series, Rethinking Spaces for Dialogue (Oslo Opera House, 2025), focuses on architecture’s role in peace mediation and social understanding. The following symposium will examine how design can re-humanize post-conflict reconstruction and empower local communities in the process. These gatherings are designed as living laboratories for exchange — places where the creative and civic spheres meet to rethink how spaces can foster trust, equity, and cultural renewal.
